Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded International Operation Controller to oversee and manage our global financial operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance professional with a deep understanding of international accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting. As the International Operation Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity, compliance, and efficiency of our global operations while driving strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Lead and manage financial operations across international subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis. Monitor financial performance, assess risks, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- International Accounting and Reporting: Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.) across all regions and subsidiaries. Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
- Tax and Compliance: Manage international tax planning and compliance, including transfer pricing, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other cross-border taxation issues. Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize tax structures and minimize tax liabilities.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial transactions, and promote compliance with relevant regulations.
- Financial Analysis and Strategy: Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support key business decisions, expansion initiatives, and investment opportunities. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial and operational risks within international operations and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the international budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with regional finance teams to ensure accurate and realistic projections.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor an international inance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing and cohesive unit.
- M&A and Integration: Provide financial expertise in due diligence and integration processes for potential mergers and acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment of inancial operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related ield (Master’s degree or CPA qualiication preferred).
- Extensive experience in international finance, accounting, and operations management.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing international tax matters and cross-border inancial compliance.
- Proven ability to provide strategic financial insights and drive decision-making. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proiciency in inancial software and ERP systems.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and integration processes is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to diverse cultures, business environments, and time zones.
